Meet the Team

Wendy A. Williamson
Owner & President

Wendy has grown up in the framing business. As Ken's daughter, she has been a part of Ken's Custom Frames in some capacity since 1974, playing in the store as a child and working during the summers as a teenager and young adult.

Wendy took over ownership of Ken's Custom Frames in August of 2015, striving to maintain the exceptional level customer service and workmanship our customers have come to expect.

In addition to her position with Ken's Custom Frames, Wendy serves as Director of Operations for a local consulting company. She and her husband also own an e-commerce business, selling on sites such as eBay. They also produce a YouTube series dedicated to reselling content. She has also taught children's fitness, dance, gymnastics, and swimming classes and held two different positions at Cook Children's Medical Center. Wendy is a 1997 graduate of TCU with a Bachelor of Science degree in design and a double minor in art and business.

Wendy is the proud mom to two children, Ethan and Nina. She enjoys traveling and home improvement projects.

  • Cevin E. Williamson, Vice President of Operations

Cevin, pronounced Kevin, grew up in rural Decatur, Texas. Before leaving home to attend Texas A&M, he had a variety of jobs, including part time mechanic work, drapery installation, and car audio installation.

After graduating in 1998 with a double degree in Marketing and Management, Cevin spent the next 20 years working at the JCPenney corporate office in Plano, Texas. Since leaving JCPenney in 2020, Cevin is now able to use his eye for detail and once again work with his hands, which is a perfect fit for custom framing.

Cevin is the proud stepdad to two children, Ethan and Nina. He enjoys gardening and video games.

  • Robert Rodriguez – Head Designer & Director of Customer Relations

Robert has been a member of the Ken's Custom Frames team since 1986. He is an expert in the field of custom framing and specializes in shadow boxes and creative frame designs. Robert is a customer favorite and truly loves his job and meeting new people.

Prior to working at Ken's, Robert worked as a cabinet maker. He has always enjoyed working with his hands. Building, designing and creating is just part of his nature. Robert is also an accomplished artist and enjoys "plein air paint" or oil painting outdoors in nature.

Robert was born in Texas but has also had the opportunity to live in Minnesota and Germany. He has called Fort Worth home for the last 55 years.

Our History & Founder

KEN POST

In the late 1960s, after graduating from Texas Christian University, Ken Post was unhappy in his job and looking for opportunities for business ownership. His brother-in-law owned and operated a custom frame shop in Richardson, Texas and offered to teach Ken the ins and outs of the business. Ken eagerly accepted his offer and in 1969 opened Ken’s Custom Frames & Gallery in Fort Worth, Texas. When the store first opened, Ken was renting space in a shopping center off Granbury Drive. Due to his hard work and dedication, he found success and in the mid-80s, he purchased a building down the street. This building, located at 5925 Wedgwood Drive, is the current store location. Over the years, Ken’s wife, Jane, assisted with bookkeeping and other operational tasks at the store. Additionally, Ken was lucky enough to have two long term employees who contributed to the success of the store – Ron Wilkerson, who passed away in 2008; and Robert Rodriguez, who is still working at Ken’s as the Head Designer and Director of Customer Relations. In 2015, Wendy Williamson, Ken’s daughter, took over management of the store and in 2019 she became the legal owner.

Over the years, Ken’s has developed a reputation as the place to go for high-end custom framing, shadowboxes, and challenging framing jobs. The reality is, however, that we also offer competitive pricing on basic custom framing jobs, with the added bonus of a knowledgeable and attentive staff. We have been privileged to work with long-time corporate and non-profit customers such as Texas Christian University, Tarrant County College, Burlington Northern Santa Fe, Cook Children’s Health Care System, One Safe Place, Fort Worth Youth Orchestra, Texas Department of Transportation, Colonial Country Club, and dozens of prominent, local designers. We have a large, devoted customer base in the Southwest Fort Worth area that has expanded across Tarrant County over the last several years.
