Shrink-wrapping

“Don’t touch the artwork!”

You’ve been to a museum or gallery and heard that before. This is because artwork and paintings can be delicate. Plus, the oils in our skin can degrade and damage the piece. Artwork should be treated with care when being stored or transported. One solution that many artists, galleries, dealers, and movers use is shrink-wrap.

Shrink-wrap encloses an item and presents a clean, professional finish. Plus, the most cost-effective method of protecting and displaying images is shrink-wrapping on foam core. Other common uses in the art world include protecting delicate surfaces such as pastel and charcoal drawings, watercolor paintings, newspaper articles, children’s artwork, caricatures, etc. Plus, it can hold multi-layer items in place and contain multiple posters or art prints for storage or transport.

If you need to transport, ship, or store art or prints safely, we can professionally shrink-wrap them for you.

I own a UPS Store in GA and I needed a quote to demonstrate value on a frame for a large piece of art so I could file a insurance claim for one of my customers. Since she lived in Fort Worth I reached out to Wendy and Robert at Ken's to see if they could help me. Even though they knew I would never be an "actual" customer they went out of their way to ensure I got exactly what I needed in a timely manner. That is true customer service!! – Debi C.
